Advantages of Alternatives

alternative-energy-penny-stocks_11People nowadays realize that we cannot merely depend on petroleum products and other non renewable sources of energy. Thus we are now trying to use solar energy to run different kinds of home appliances and automobiles. With the high cost of petroleum and diesel along with the fast pace economy, many people are now aware of the damages that a conventional fuel can cause. Global community is becoming conscious of the effect of pollution not only to the public but mostly to our health. This is now a great call to be responsible for the preservation of our natural resources.

Not every nation on Earth has the vast amount of money to buy conventional fuel so they are now awaken that pollution-free alternative fuel like bio diesel is much better. It’s beneficial to both health and environment.

We also have the Ethanol as alternative fuel that is prepared from the alteration of carbon founded feed stocks like switch grass, sugar beets, barley, sugar cane and corn. It is very advantageous to the environment and can be used in exchange for the polluting petroleum made traditional fuels. It can be used in different forms and can be mixed up with gasoline in varying combination. Different combinations of ethanol are available at most gas stations. It is also used as an additive for an oxygenate form of gasoline.

We also have the bio-diesel. It is a non petroleum-made diesel fuel from vegetable made oils like groundnut oil, mustard oil and ghee. It is becoming very popular source of hybrid fuel options for its rich energy sources. Bio-diesel is distinct from the straight vegetable oil, used vegetable oil and pure plant oil. It is more of a mono-alkyd based ester which is used to transform diesel vehicles like the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Mercury Mariner Hybrid and Saturn Vue Hybrid. It is somehow a different kind of scientifically prepared fuel compared to the diesel-made fuel family.
A lot of options are being laid down. It’s just within our hands to choose what is best not only to the pockets but most especially to our health and environment.

The Use of Alternative Fuel

light-bulb-collage2

Conventional fuels are being used rapidly every day. Samples of these are petroleum oil, coal propane, natural gas and nuclear materials such as uranium. The use of conventional has been proven but the dilemma is it may not be able to sustain for a long period of time.

Supply is the most basic reason for alternative fuels to be conceptualized.  Alternative fuel is also known as non conventional fuel which is of any material that can be utilized as a substitute for the conventional energy. These are   biodiesel and bioalcohol. Most common bioalcohols are ethanol and butanol. These are chemically stored electricity such as batteries, fuel cells and bioamass sources. These also include hydrogen, non-fossil methane, on fossil natural gass and vegetable oil.

Based on my opinion, there is nothing wrong with using alternatives as long as it doesn’t affect our environment and the supply of our natural gases. If these substitutes can help maintain equilibrium and balance with nature, then precisely this is the best solution. However, we should also be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of using the conventional and non conventional fuels. If there are circumstances that we can lessen our use to fuels then perhaps it is much better and appropriate.

Climate Change: Up and Coming

climate-change-hurricane1

Climate change is not a debatable issue anymore because it will happen and it is already happening in most part of the globe. Extreme events and weather disturbances have the large possibilities to happen and can tremendously damage not only the environment but can even take away lives.

International communities are taking steps on how we can mitigate and adapt to this emerging climate because there’s no other way to prevent and stop it. It is just so sad that people are not yet aware that there is really a big transition in our climate which means extreme weather changes can occur and not even Science can detect. Thinking the other side of it, this climate change is man-made. This is all because of human actions that nature has not been given due consideration. Now it is Mother Nature that is erupting in anguish. And all of us will suffer the effects we caused to our surroundings. But what makes this more terrifying is that the next generation will reap their forefather’s mistakes. It is a call for all of us to make a stand in protecting our environment not only for future’s generation but more on sustainability of conserving and saving lives.

Alternative Energy: Affects our Environment

Consumers all over the globe are complaining. Driving a car is such an expensive thing to do. Gasoline is now on its highest prices. Consumers’ checkbook is now being put to risk. With this devastating state, it is already a must for people to use alternatives. Consumers need to have a substitute for this alarming rate of fuel.
United States has been pushing this alternative over gasoline. So many reasons have been given to support the campaign. One of the top explanations is that it is not only environment friendly but it is one of the best solutions in combating global warming. It is found out as gasoline and other fuels are burned off, it releases toxins in the air that causes green house effect. Moreover it would be too late for us to realize that winter will already be similar as summer’s temperature.
Scientists are trying to discover few alternatives that is not only beneficial to the environment but as well as to the consumers. The acceptance of the people to fuel alternatives has been very receptive. They have seen the huge advantages of this option. It’s a give and take tendency between the people and the environment. Using alternative fuels gas up their car and it helps in cooling on their houses.
The 1990 Clean Air Act promotes development and sale of alternative fuels. Alternative fuels are not being processed in similar to crude oil. Its main purpose is used as fuels to power up vehicles. It has very enviable energy efficiency and pollution reduction features.
There are variety of alternative fuels but most outstanding and has been used for a longest duration is what we known as ethanol. It is produced from corn and sometimes being referred as grain alcohol. It can also be made from organic materials such as agricultural crops and waste, plant material from logging and other non-biodegradable trashes like papers.
Ethanol is the same alcohol found in alcohol beverages. It only undergoes denaturation for it to become a motor fuel. Poison has been added to it and its not advisable to drink it. Experts have been doing more studies to further develop the increasing efficiency of ethanol with the use of technology.
More alternatives will be discovered and consumers will have more options that will not only help the environment but most probably can add up to their savings.

Ethanol: An Alternative Fuel

Every commodity is rapidly increasing and one of the most popular of these is gasoline. It is not just a country’s problem but it is a worldwide chaos that every nation is addressing solutions. Many strategies have been discussed and planned but until this very moment, nobody yet has conceptualized the most effective solution to help lessen this crisis. However, there are alternatives that are further studied and are being proposed for its effectiveness.

Experts say that one of the best alternatives in this environmental destitution is no other than Ethanol. Ethanol fuel is now becoming in demand in the global market as the problem in gasoline increases. It’s not just because it offers a cheap substitute but its components can be drawn form natural resources which are abundant in most forests.

Ethanol is a diversified alcohol that can be fashioned in a natural method. It undergoes a process parallel to alcoholic beverages. It is produced from sugars and starches. Two best examples of these are corn and grains. One positive effects of using ethanol fuel is it gives off cleaner burns compared to petroleum based fuels. It lessens the strains on the environment of fuel’s exhaust emission.
Midwestern United States has been patronizing ethanol alternative. The ethanol’s value has already been proven in more than a few parts of the country and other nations as well. E10 is one of the best typical mixtures of it. Denmark has been using it and shows more advantages. Furthermore, United States has been one of its proponents and it has been used for less than one percent of its gasoline needs in the year 2002.
Taking both sides of discovering this option for the rapidly increasing of petroleum based fuels; one of the issues being tackled is ethanol fuel has not been confirmed to be environment friendly. Another case is that due to the large demand of ethanol, the production of it causes hazard to the forests and other ethanol producing resources. There are number of rainforests that are being cleared just to produce ethanol.
Faced with few numbers of controversies, may this be a challenge for many experts to study more the valuable uses of ethanol and at same time of great benefit to the environment. As the popularity of fuel alternatives increases, more innovations will be discovered. The problem in the rising gasoline will sooner be solved.
