I don’t know if insomnia hits me up again but still Im here in front of my computer,wide awake though my eyes are complaining already. As I lay down, many things keep on popping in my head. All I can say is that today is a roller-coaster ride. I have a lot of things to do in my mind. A lot of things I want to achieve but I don’t know where to start. I am very much overwhelmed with the news especially with the Kanye West behavior during the VMA. If I was Taylor Swift, I would not let him do that to me. I would get back the microphone and continue my winning moment speech. It was just so shocking and disappointing at the same time. Another thing, I wish I could also have the biceps and triceps of the First Lady; It is certainly an achievement. I have high respect for women who are health conscious. The first lady’s figure is one of the best attributes I adored most. Well, my eyes need some rest now. I hope tomorrow will not be as overwhelming as today.

Final Goodbye to the King of Pop
Michael Jackson was finally laid to rest last September 3 after more than two months of his surprising death. His resting place is the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California wherein he will be among the big superstars of Hollywood. His brother mentioned that Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael I, Paris and Michael II had given messages to their father that were placed inside the coffin. The letters like “I love you and I miss you Daddy” were put inside the casket together with its most famous trademark, the white glove.
The Forest Memorial Park is a private cemetery known for superlative description wherein the King is really qualified to be buried. But what I want to emphasize most is the grief and the pain running in the veins of the family especially the kids. It is the acceptance that their father is no longer around is the most painful experience. And the fact, that he died unexpectedly, I know there are a lot of words left unspoken. Only memories are left to reminisce.
Acceptance is a very complex process wherein it takes time and deep understanding. As we all pray for the eternal repose of the soul of our Idol. Let us not forget to include in our prayers the feelings of his kids. His children as one of his top priorities are the ones that need most our help.

Michael Jackson: Victim of Homicide
After two months of King of Pop’s death, Los Angeles Country Coroner has initially stated that Michael Jackson’s death could be a homicide. It means that he might have died in the hands of another person but doesn’t necessarily mean that a crime had been committed.
Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson’s personal physician and cardiologist is now being named as the culprit. He could be charged of criminal case. Six weeks before Michael’s death, he had been curing him with his insomnia. He had been giving propofol, a kind of medicine that should be used with induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. So, it could really be a very strong drug just for curing insomnia. But Murray had observed that Jackson had been treating this drug as milk. So, he decided to change with other two sedatives, lorazepam and midazolam. But the combination did not work out so Jackson had asked again for propofol. He had demanded and requested for that drug that he considered as milk. As the medicine worked, Murray went to the bathroom and soon after no less than two minutes, he found the body of the King of Pop lifeless and no longer breathing.
As I am reading the news, I don’t know what to feel and how to respond. I don’t know who to blame and if there’s really someone that has to take the consequences. But the forensic says a lot of weight. Now, who is the real victim? Could it be MJ? Or Murray? Or are they just both victims of the circumstance. But Murray has the knowledge about those drugs. But he is just human to commit errors. But then life had been ended. It was not just a life of an ordinary man but a life of a legend. Everyone now is waiting for the answer and I am praying together with the millions of people that truth and justice will prevail.

Ms. Venezuela’s Winning Answer
Few hours ago, Ms. Venezuela Stefania Fernandez was crowned as Miss Universe 2009. And what made it more victorious was being the successor of another Venezuelan, Dayana Mendoza, the 2008 Ms. Universe. It was really a big back to back success for Venezuela having won the title for the two consecutive years for the first time.
At first, I had my bet and honestly I was really voting for an Asian though Asians got only special awards, Miss China as Miss Congeniality and Miss Thailand as Ms. Photogenic.
My focus got more attentive during the last five questions and definitely I had voted for Ms. Venezuela wherein she emphasized gender equality. Nowadays, she believes and we have to realize that there are no more barriers between men and women.
I vouch for that title holder answer. If all of us from all nations around the world will live a life of equality between genders then there will be no injustices especially to women. Women will never be considered second degree citizens. No woman will be deprived of liberty. And all mothers will have a good family having to experience the rights she deserves.
I am not a beauty queen but I honestly believe in equal opportunity. Comparing the status of women of before and now, I am very much happy to see that we have improved. It’s just that all of us must already admit the equality between both sexes. I know it is not impossible for we are already going towards it.

In the Eyes of a 4-year-old-kid
Our family has been addicted to this online game named Pet Society. It is a game where you have your own pet and be responsible for it. It might sound so easy. All you have to do is to take good care of it by cleaning, playing and feeding. While playing with it, you will gain coins that you will be able to buy food, clothes and furniture for your pet’s house. So in short, the more you play, the higher your score, the more coins you have.
The first thing to do in joining Pet Society is to make your own pet. You will be able to choose what kind of face, skin color, eyes, nose and lips and you have to name it. When I did this, I was with my 4-year- brother. He was as excited as I was. I felt like 20 years younger. While choosing from the different styles on our pet’s total appearance, we finally agreed and named her Pishiong. She’s a girl.
As we leveled up in the game, we acquired more coins and we finally visited the stylist. As we went there, we discovered that there more choices for eyes, nose, hair and the like. I really liked one of the eyes and I told my brother that we should buy it so that Pishiong will look much prettier. But I was amazed on his answer. He said “If we will buy those eyes, then she will not be Pishiong anymore. “
Those words struck me. In the eyes of my brother, Pishiong is Pishiong. Nothing should be changed. She was formed according to our decisions. And if we change something from her, then she’s no longer our pet. My 4-year-old brother taught me lessons of contentment and simplicity.
In this life full of complexities, the best thing to appreciate life is getting back to the basics. Being simple and contented of what we have are the keys to achieve success. We can strive harder same as we leveled in Pet Society but at the end of the day, we are still the simple being, satisfied yet still dreaming. If all of us will have a perspective of a child and act like an adult, life will not be complicated. We can always accept things like in the poem Desiderata. There will be higher and lower persons than we are. But as long as we believe in ourselves, no insecurities can pull us back to what we want. We can appreciate more the beauty of life.
We never changed the appearance of Pishiong, she remained as simple as she is but she can change her clothes, shoes and head dress as often. And my little brother is now taking good care of her. I just visit her once in awhile.

Wildwood Vacation: An Unforgetttable One
My family loves to go to different places and exploring variety of adventureMy family is having a theme every year for our summer vacation. It’s because we wanted to experience different events and we don’t want to duplicate and compare each experience. This year’s summer vacation was indeed the most unforgettable and spectacular in every minute experience of it. We have finally decided to go driving to another state and found a seaside adventure filled with music, fun and magic.
Having all the criteria for our summer vacation, I researched through the internet and found out this very interactive and friendly site. Checking the lined up activities and conferred it with all the family members, we finally decided to check on . It was very timely that my kids were looking for a Disney adventure. We were so fortunate to witness the radio Disney Summer Concert Series for free. The concert started last June and will end by last week of August.
Aside from the Disney experience, the whole place was stunning. It was very impressive from the beach, amusement piers, parks and accommodations. It offered us an exploration of calmness with its classic board walk sound and the beach life’s rhythm. Every sight was certainly to be captured. Plus, the rides were also one of the best attractions.
For the last years that we do summer vacations, we never had return yet to the venues we went to but this time, the whole family is planning again to return this October. We only had limited time thins month. We want to explore more and feel the magic in every activity they offer. It was really worth to be going back. And we are anticipating for more surprises and fun.

The Best Part of Having a Swimming Pool
I remember when I was still in grade school and our teacher asked us to draw about our dream house. Though I know I am not that so good in arts but I can still vividly recall that drawing. I sketched a big white 3-storey-house with a big pool. Through the years, I have that it in my mind. Indeed it’s really true that once you dream something and work hard for it, it can be a reality.
That drawing becomes my inspiration and motivation. When my house was built, my swimming pool was the main part. I really make sure that I can swim all day, sponsor a house party and enjoy the weekends with the waters. I even have held events in my pool. During summers, I have my swimming lessons with kids who want to learn. That passion and hobby have continued through the years because of my swimming pool. Share that Riding Moments
When I was still a kid, I envied those people who can ride and most especially drive a motorcycle. It had always been my fascination that one day I will not just be a back rider but the driver herself. My mom would not always permit me to try that dream but I insisted. When I was in the university, I started riding a bicycle. It was bit hard at first because I never knew how to balance. Then finally I knew that it’s the time for me to drive my dream motorcycle. Its like a dream come true and I told myself “This is it, the time I am waiting for”. I started driving miles away. It’s as if time was never running. It was the happiest day of my life. It taught me life’s lessons like patience, discipline and determination.
It is definitely very inspiring to share this kind of stories. These unforgettable moments which are vividly alive in our minds. The Story Behind My First Halloween Costume
It’s almost eight years ago and I was in my sophomore year when I recalled my memories of my First Halloween Party. Everyone was excited for the most awaited day. Everyone was wearing big smiles on their faces. Everyone was indeed very eager for that event except me. I was not excited not because I did not like partying but because I was fat. I was not the average size and no costumes would fit me.
There were lots of things popping up on my mind. I was very nervous and was having second thoughts of not attending. When I was in high school, we are not forced to attend. However, this sophomore year, because I was a club president, I was obliged to be there. I couldn’t think of any possible excuses to make. I was very distressed and I had to find solution to my problem. I had to attend the Halloween Party and I had to find a costume that would fit my size. I had called up my mom, my sister, my friends, my neighbor, my neighbor’s friend, my dad’s officemate, my brother’s sister-in-law, my grade school friends and my former teachers. We went to different shops to look for anything that would fit me. I had tried different costumes. Its either I could not close the zipper or it could not even enter half of my body. We all ended up disappointed and miserable. I even envy the children’s Halloween costumes wherein they had all the themes to choose from Geisha, Medieval and Historical. I even wished I was still a small kid, no insecurities and fears.
It was a week before the Halloween Party when one of my best friends called me up reminding me not to lose hope. I was in the state of feeling sick because of the thought that no costume fitted me at all. There was no hope anymore, I told her. Then she told me that her boyfriend’s sister was the same size as me. She already had ordered a Halloween Costume for her. My nerves were awakened. I got up from bed and went to the store that offered Halloween Plus Size Costumes.
On the eve of October 31, I was no longer the chubby-lousy-girl; I had turned into a beautiful autumn fairy with my floor length tank top dress with colorful wings at my back. My make up, my shoes, my costume were everything that defined the real person inside me. No insecurities and fear, no pretensions and no worries about my bulges. I was stunning. I was beautiful. I danced. I enjoyed. I partied all night long. Certainly, my First Halloween Party was my best night ever, one of the best memories forever. .
