Cravings During Pregnancy: How To Deal With It?

These are some helpful tips and guidelines on how to incorporate cravings to a balance diet. Trying these guidelines can help sustain nutrition during pregnancy.

First is to never skip breakfast. And we all know that breakfast is the most important meal in a day. It is the time we will get our energy for the whole day activity. Missing out eating breakfast can increase more cravings later in the day. And this means, the more we crave, the more risks we have in not achieving a balanced diet.

Next is by eating plenty of complex carbohydrates such as whole-wheat breads, brown rice, whole-grain cereals, and pasta. It takes longer for complex carbohydrates to digest therefore making level of blood sugar steady. Inconsistency in blood sugar can cause more cravings.

The third one is by integrating these cravings into nutritional diet. Having a slice of banana or strawberry on an ice cream is one best idea. Trying chocolate milk instead of chocolate is another good suggestion. The only word is integration or mixing up together to come up with nutritious foods.

Lastly, indulge the cravings into a healthy one. Look for alternatives. Substitute non fat yoghurt for ice cream and pretzels for chips. And the most important thing is to include exercise in the daily routine. Physical activities plus complete nutrients will not only lessen cravings but more importantly reducing the possible risks of pregnancy.

It is not bad not to let ourselves give in to these cravings as long as we get the proper nutrition needed by ourselves and most especially our babies. It is also good once in a while to satisfy our yearnings for these strange foods but only once in awhile. Then follow the above mentioned steps and surely all pregnant women will have no hard time.

Lose Weight After Pregnancy

Most mothers after giving birth are very much particular about losing weight. However, most women are not aware that this is one of the most critical aspects. Post pregnancy diet must be taken in consideration not just only for the mother’s nutrition but most especially for the baby’s nourishment.

To ensure that the mother and child are getting the right supplements, a proper post pregnancy diet should be taken. This diet must have a complete nutrients list. A breast feeding mother should in take 3 servings of milk, fish, meat, chicken, cottage cheese, lentils, which are good sources of protein while 2 servings is already enough for non breast feeding moms. Nursing mothers should also have 2 servings of vitamin C while one serving for non nursing. It is advisable to eat grapefruit, strawberries, orange, citrus, and tomatoes. 5 servings of calcium should be taken by those that breast feed while 3 is good for non nursing. Good sources of calcium are cheddar cheese and milk. Proper diet must consist of 3 servings of fresh green leafy vegetables and yellow fruits. It is also recommended to take 6 or more servings of complex carbohydrates. Examples of these are brown rice, whole grain bread and cereals, protein pasta, and beans. Lastly, it should include foods rich in iron and 8 glasses of water everyday.

Body will recover quickly if proper diet is in consonance with regular exercise. After 6 weeks, it is advisable to check on your doctor and have your post partum check up. You can consult if you are already fit to do mild exercises. It is also suggested to see a fitness trainer who can recommend a weight loss after pregnancy program. Having experts’ guidance will have more possibility of reaching weight loss goal successfully.

Mothers on the go must have a positive outlook in regards to their target. Some results can not be seen right away. There are times when we feel hopeless because no outcome can be seen. What we need to do is to have perseverance in achieving something. It is on how we motivate ourselves that we can always do better. We practice here positive thinking. It may take some time but if we have optimism, we will soon realize we are losing weight gradually. It is just on how we perceive things. Applying all the guidelines in post pregnancy diet plus regular exercise and proper motivation will surely have a successful outcome. Mothers on the go can already resume with their pre pregnancy routines with a much healthier body.

No Success with Diet Pills

homepageimageEveryone wants to look beautiful. There is no doubt on that. That’s why a lot of people are now jumping to take diet pills to reach that ultimate goal of feeling astounding wherein everyone will appreciate your beauty once you enter a room.

There are thousand times that I have been encouraged to take diet pills. I am not an obese but I am not that drop-dead-gorgeous type of a lady. I agree that there is a need for me to trim down a little. However, I have believed more that there are different types of beauty. Then I possess the beauty of knowledge, confidence and a good heart. But sometimes, I also envy ladies who can fit in sexy clothes.

I admit that I had tried using diet pills. But I ended up being a loser. I felt much bitterer and a failure. I even became dependent on the miracle pill and I lost so much amount of money. I felt so miserable especially when I stopped taking the pill; I gained more weight because I had so much craving for food. That’s why, there is no really such thing as miracle pill. It is all about advertisement and sales.

Good diet plus exercise are the keys of a healthy body. Looking good is being healthy. There is no easy way to success whatever aspects in life. We have to invest time and efforts to achieve what we want. I will never take risks when it comes to my body. I only have one body and I will never rely it to miracles. Diet pills are just bandwagon propaganda. Nobody has ever testified the long term success of taking it. .

Being beautiful is not just physical appearance. It is more of inner being. Furthermore getting healthy and sexy is more of motivation and discipline. It’s also has to do with mind setting.
